From the first time you hear their heartbeat to feeling that first kick, pregnancy is such an incredible time in a woman's life. The changing female form from pregnancy to mother is nothing short of beautiful, and I like to honor the pure beauty by keeping things simple.
I offer studio maternity sessions in the comfort of your own home as well as outdoor sessions in a natural setting. In-home maternity sessions lend themselves to be more intimate if you prefer, while outdoor sessions take in the season of the natural landscape. My maternity gallery shows more examples of each.
For those not wanting to use their home or the outdoors, I also offer sessions at a beautiful rental studio for an additional cost, based on availability. Please inquire for further details.
I recommend maternity sessions between 28-32 weeks of pregnancy when you are showing, but not yet too uncomfortable. Maternity sessions focus on the mother, but also include a few photos with significant others and any siblings.
Since clothing plays a big role in the look and feel of your portraits, I offer a few pieces for mom and children that have been chosen for their soft tones and textures that photograph well. I can also offer suggestions of where to shop if guidance is requested.
Maternity sessions result in 25-30 images. For those who have booked a newborn session in addition to their maternity session, a petite maternity session resulting in 10-12 images is an available option.
In order to provide my clients with a high quality experience, I take on limited sessions per month. I recommend booking in advance to secure your session date.
