Many of my clients who book newborn sessions are having a second (or third) child. This particular family was adding a baby boy to their crew so we got to do some newborn with sister photography.
I was happy to capture the pride in the eyes of the young girl as she held her baby brother, excitedly taking her place as the big sister in the family.
And though these parents obviously had previous experience with a baby, the gentle and tender manner that they held him and smiled down at his tiny little face made it feel as if they were experiencing the joys of being new parents all over again.
Providing a glimpse into these special, new moments in a family– and making sure that everyone has a chance to shine– is one of the main reasons that I love my work.
