Family Portraits in Montgomery, TX | Fall Light

I love when the leaves change color in the Fall and create the perfect backdrop for outdoor family portraits. The natural and organic landscape of an outdoor field really is my favorite place to photograph families being themselves, playing and enjoying each other in the fresh air.

This family was dressed in clothing from the studio wardrobe so they all coordinated well together in a soft color palette that blends in with their surroundings. Mom didn’t have to stress over finding everyone outfits; all she had to do was come in for her styling appointment at the studio and choose what she liked. A big part of my portrait experience is making things easy and enjoyable for my clients. Plus, to be honest, I like shopping for the studio! 😉

With a little tickling, playing and whispering funny things in each other’s ears, this family was in their element laughing and smiling. I always make sure to get some with everyone smiling at the camera, but my favorite shots (and the ones that end up being my clients’ favorites) are always those that show connection and emotion.
