Arms full of love, bear hugs, quiet gazes, real laughter; these are the moments that I want to capture for you. During your family session I will guide you into natural interactions that elicit real emotion so that I can capture the essence of your connection. Yes, we will make sure to get a few traditional photos of everyone looking and smiling, but my goal is that the love you experience as a family comes to life and shines in your portraits.
Family sessions take place either in the comfort of your home, or in an outdoor natural setting. In-home family sessions create imagery where you do your every day life, whereas outdoor portraits use seasonal foliage as a backdrop.
If you opt for an in-home session, you don't need to worry about your home being perfectly decorated or spotless, as part of my expertise is finding the best pockets of light in any situation. I will guide you into natural poses that portray the love and connection with your family in an authentic way.
Since clothing plays a big role in the look and feel of y your portraits, I offer a few pieces for mom and children that have been chosen for their soft tones and textures that photograph well. I also have a style guide full of visual inspiration as well as ideas on where to shop.
I also work with a trusted, professional hair and makeup artist that can come to your home on the day of your session and help you look and feel your most beautiful, which most clients choose to add on to their session.
Family sessions result in 25-30 images. Options for professional prints and albums are available in addition to your digital images.
In order to provide my clients with a high quality experience, I take on limited sessions per month. I recommend booking in advance to secure your session date.
