Why choose In-Home Newborn Sessions
Your house is more than walls, it's your HOME where you do life and love on your babies. Photographing in your home creates authenticity in your newborn photos that you can't get otherwise, and I know how to make your space work for us.
Studio newborn sessions tend to look generic because there is little variation. With in-home newborn sessions we can use that amazing window seat in your kitchen, or have you lean against that cool arch in your hallway.
Let's showcase that nursery that you spend months perfecting and photograph you in the chair where you will rock your baby for hours!
But can I have an in home newborn session if my house is messy and isn't perfectly decorated?
Yes! Your home doesn't have to be immaculate, magazine-worthy or big to be a beautiful stage for your newborn session. Part of my expertise is finding the best spaces and the best light in your home to photograph. In fact, I find the challenge makes me more creative. Rest assured that most every living room, nursery or master bedroom has all that I need.
In-Home Newborn Photography based in The Woodlands, Tx
Newborn sessions can be booked as early as your second trimester and we work off of your due date to choose a session date that is typically within two weeks of birth. We adjust the date as needed for baby's actual arrival.
Younger babies tend to sleep more and curl up into those precious positions, but if your baby is already born we can still create beautiful photographs. Any age up to 3 months old is considered a newborn session.
To ensure a high-quality experience, I take on a limited number of sessions each month. I recommend booking in advance, but if your baby is already here I encourage you to still reach out!

How to prepare for
your newborn session?
I bring everything we need to the newborn session such as blankets, wraps, etc. and keep the aesthetic simple to focus on the beauty of your new baby.
As you can see from my website and Instagram my style is natural and organic. I guide your baby to curl up in positions that are natural to them, place them in gorgeous light and photograph the magic that unfolds.
Your job is to relax and enjoy the experience, while I work around the rest.
From the start of the booking process to the delivery of your final images, I communicate with you each step of the way so you won’t ever be left to guess what comes next or what to do.
What to wear for
newborn photos?
In-home newborn sessions include a detailed style guide to help plan outfits for the family with tips, visual inspiration as well as recommended place to shop.
In general I recommend coordinating, but not matching, colors of clothing and lighter options for the light and airy aesthetic. Comfort is key so that clothing fits well and flatters post-partum bodies. I also have a curated client wardrobe of beautiful dress options for moms to use if you choose. Once your session is booked you will receive an emailed link to the studio wardrobe gallery to make your selections and I will bring them with me the day of your session.
Who is included in the photos?
Your immediate family is included in the newborn photos as well as family pets like dogs or cats if you wish to include them. We will get a combination of family photos as well as individual photos with baby and baby alone for a complete gallery of your family.
How long is the session?
Newborn sessions typically last 1.5 hours as my process is pretty refined. I'm very patient with baby's feeding needs but I also efficient with the time we have and I am mindful that you don't want me there all morning!
We work around any parents or siblings that may need to be photographed first, so the flow of the session is flexible to meet the needs of your family.
How much do newborn
sessions cost?
Newborn sessions are an investment in preserving your family's memories. My pricing is simple and straightforward without any sales appointments after your session.
An in home newborn session cost $850 and includes 40+ curated and edited digital images.
A $250 session deposit (that goes toward your session) along with a signed portrait contract reserve a spot on my calendar. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session. Newborn photo galleries are delivered 2 weeks after your session.
Most clients also choose to add on a custom designed professional print album or an heirloom framed fine art print for a total average investment of about $1200.
Will I look good in newborn photos as a post-partum mom?
I think that one of the times in life that a woman looks her most beautiful is holding her newborn baby. That said, I use flattering angles, lighting and wardrobe guidance to help make sure you see yourself as the powerful goddess you are.

I'm skilled at finding beautiful light, calming fussy babies, wrangling toddlers, and leading you into flattering positions so you don't look stiff or uncomfortable.
I photograph newborns in a natural way, using soft textures, light tones and natural light. I believe that the softness created in the imagery mimics the tenderness of the love between you and your baby.
With over 10 years of photographing newborns, and as a mom of 4 children myself, I know how quickly the newborn stage goes. I want families to have visual memories to look back upon, so this is what I do.
