About Newborn In Home Sessions
Your house is more than walls, it's your HOME where you do life and love on your babies. It's the backdrop of your family and is a part of your family's story. Photographing in your home creates authenticity in your newborn photos and I know how to make spaces work for us.
I photograph newborns in a natural way, using soft textures, light tones and natural light. I believe that the softness created in the imagery mimics the tenderness of the love between you and your baby.
Let's showcase that nursery that you spend months perfecting and photograph you in the chair where you will rock your baby for hours. Your home doesn't have to be perfectly decorated or immaculate to be a beautiful stage for your newborn session. Part of my expertise is finding the best pockets of light in any situation.
In-Home Newborn Photography based in The Woodlands, Tx
Newborn sessions can be booked as early as you like and we work off of your due date to choose a session date that is typically within two weeks of birth, and we adjust as needed for baby's actual arrival. Younger babies tend to sleep more and curl up into those precious positions, but if your baby has already born we can still create beautiful photographs. Any age up to 3 months old is considered a newborn session.
To ensure a high-quality experience, I take on a limited number of sessions each month. I recommend booking in advance, but if your baby is already here still reach out!

How to prepare for
your newborn session?
I bring everything we need to the session such as blankets, wraps, etc. and keep the aesthetic simple to focus on the beauty of your new baby. As you can see from my website and Instagram my style is natural and organic without the use of many props. I guide your baby to curl up in positions that are natural to them, place them in gorgeous light and photograph the magic that unfolds.
Newborn sessions that take place in the comfort of your home lend themselves to organic interactions in your photos since you're in your place of comfort. We can show off the beautiful nursery that you worked so hard on - but don't worry you don't have to worry about your home being immaculate! Your job is to relax and enjoy the experience, while I work around the rest.
From the start of the booking process to the delivery of your final images, I communicate with you each step of the way so you won’t ever be left to guess what comes next or what to do.
What to wear for
newborn photos?
Newborn sessions include a detailed style guide to help plan outfits for the family with tips, visual inspiration as well as recommended place to shop. I also have a client wardrobe of beautiful dress options for moms to use if you choose. Once your session is booked you will receive an emailed link to the studio wardrobe gallery to make your selections and I will bring them with me the day of your session.
Who is included in the photos?
Your immediate family is included in the newborn photos as well as family pets like dogs or cats if you wish to include them. We will get a combination of family photos as well as individual photos with baby and baby alone for a complete gallery of your family.
How long is the session?
Newborn sessions typically last 1.5 hours as my process is pretty refined. We can work around any parents or siblings that may need to be photographed first, so the flow of the session is flexible to meet the. needs of your family. Sessions allow time for baby to eat if necessary and nothing is rushed, but I'm efficient with our time together.
How much do newborn
sessions cost?
Newborn sessions are $950 and include 40+ digital images. A $250 session deposit (that goes toward your session) along with a signed portrait contract reserve a spot on my calendar. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
Most clients also choose to add on a professional printed album or a framed fine art print, available on the a la carte product menu. These optional custom heirloom products range from $350-$550.
Do you offer studio sessions if we don't want to use our home?
Yes, I offer a beautiful rental studio space filled with natural light for those who don't wish to use their home. The rental is an extra fee and based on availability.

Do you offer baby plans?
Yes, baby plans are available! They include a newborn session, 6 month "sitter" session, and a one year session. It's a popular option and a wonderful way to document baby's first year. The Baby Plan offers 3 sessions at a discounted rate.

Stephanie was fantastic to work with for our newborn photoshoot and made the experience from start to finish super easy and enjoyable.
