As a Houston maternity photographer, I appreciate beautiful sunsets and warm sunny days. This day in particular was one of those that will stay in a special place in my memory, because I had the chance to take my dearest friend’s maternity photos. She is expecting a baby girl in late March and I was thrilled to get to capture such an amazing time of transformation in her life.
Our session was taken in Napa Valley during a perfectly scheduled trip to see family. For those of you who have never been, it is one of the most beautiful places to visit so I highly recommend putting it on your travel list. Although it had been profusely raining for days, the weather held out for us and the day was absolutely gorgeous. The natural landscape, cascading hills and grapevines were the perfect backdrop for this maternity session featuring new life. The sunset on the hill created the most beautiful and dreamy light.
I feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to create something from the heart to celebrate this incredible time in her life. I look forward to the day that she shows these photos to her little girl so she can see what she looked like inside her beautiful mommy’s tummy and all of the love that surrounded her.
