I love newborn photo sessions that involve an adorable older sibling and this session definitely fit that description! Upon my arrival at the family’s home for their lifestyle newborn photography session, I was greeted at the front door by a very energetic and outgoing two and half year old. He recently became a big brother and was very excited about our photo session. Not to mention, he was super cute!
The family was dressed perfectly for their photo shoot since mom chose a pastel color palette that was soft and sweet just like their newborn baby boy. Clothing makes such a difference in photos which is why as a Houston newborn photographer I always help direct families to make good choices that will photograph beautifully. When everyone is looking great and is comfortable it is easier to get those natural shots of the family interacting with each other, as if they forget that I am even there with a camera.
I set this family on the bed in their master bedroom and let them interact with their newborn and toddler. I love the sweet and intimate moments of connection between the parents and the children and feel so honored that I get to capture these precious times for them. The best part was when I let the two year old big brother hold his newborn little brother. He was so fascinated with his baby brother that when I was finished he asked if he could keep holding him for a few minutes longer. It just about melted my heart!
