There is something to be said about the connection between grandparents and their grand babies, this has been one of my favorite parts of newborn photography with family in The Woodlands, Texas. All of the love that they have for their children seems to be renewed and spilled over into these new precious souls. My parents were gifted their first two grandchildren this summer and the love that they have for them and the bond that they have created is unique and special. As a Houston newborn photographer (and a new momma) I had the chance to get behind the lens and create some memories for them with their newborn grandchildren. It was a surreal and incredible experience to capture these moments for my family.
Although sleep was at a minimum and the diaper changes and bottle feedings were constant, I made taking these portraits a priority. Babies are brand new and tiny for a very short time and I wanted to make sure that I documented my parents with them at this stage. The love and awe over these two new family members permeated the studio and these portraits tug at my heartstrings.
My children were welcomed into the world with so much love and I look forward to the day when they can look at these photos of themselves in their first few weeks of life and see just how much they were cherished.
