I love the holidays. There is nothing better than looking forward to Christmas morning as a child. Not being able to sleep thinking about rudolph and blitzen driving the sleigh through the sky with Santa at the reigns. Trying to figure out how Santa can fit down the chimney with all of your presents. And waking up at the first ray of sunlight to see if he ate the cookies that you left for him. There are few things better than the holiday excitement when you are a child …except for maybe getting to watch your children live the joy. When focusing on studio child photography, I try to capture the joy of the season in photographs so that the memories remain long after December.
One of my fondest memories of Christmas Eve as a child was getting to open up one present after dinner that was always a pair of Christmas pajamas that my mom had nought for me and my sister. We would put on our new pjs, cuddle up in bed with mom and dad and read A Night Before Christmas before going to sleep.
I have created the annual Holiday Pajama Portrait Event to give mom and dads some tangible memories of the season. Clients bring their babies and children to the studio in their Christmas pajamas and we jump on the bed, sing Christmas songs and read stories. Lots of smiles and good times are had! There are even cookies after the session as a sweet reward 🙂
