Everything about a newborn from their tiny hands, to their soft skin, the way they curl up on you when you hold them; all of it is so incredible and worth documenting so you can remember. These precious but fleeting times deserve to be preserved in our memories because with the blink of a tired eye they are over.
I photograph newborns in a natural way, using soft textures, light tones and natural light. I believe that the softness created in the imagery mimics the tenderness of the love between you and your baby. Visit the newborn gallery to see more of the style of my work.
I offer newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home. You don't need to worry about your home being perfectly decorated or spotless, as part of my expertise is finding the best pockets of light in any situation. I will guide you into natural poses that portray the love and connection with your baby in an authentic way.
For those not wanting to use their home, I also offer sessions at a beautiful rental studio for an additional cost, based on availability. Please inquire for further details about those spaces.
Newborn sessions include photos with parents and siblings and last about 1.5 hours. Newborns are best photographed within the first 2 weeks of life when babies are easier to settle and sleep more, however, it is still possible to photograph older newborns beautifully as well.
Since clothing plays a big role in the look and feel of your portraits, I offer a few pieces for mom and children that have been chosen for their soft tones and textures that photograph well. I am happy to recommend places to shop
Newborn sessions result in 25-30 digital images. An option for a beautifully printed professional album that houses all of your photos is also an option that most clients choose.
In order to provide my clients with a high quality experience, I take on limited sessions per month. I recommend booking in advance to secure your session date.
