There are a lot of styles of newborn photography, but natural newborn photography is the type that I have always been drawn to. Newborns are such a work of art on their own, that I don’t find that many elements need to be added to create beautiful photographs.
Creating natural newborn photography is a matter of getting the baby comfortable and sleepy, and then allowing them to rest into positions that are natural to them. I do wrap babies in certain ways that help them feel warm and snuggled and also showcase their tiny features, but I also think it’s important not to force a baby into a certain position. The resulting images represent what your baby looks like today, each in their own unique way.
This is a sneak peek of a sweet baby boy that I had in the studio. These photos are from the simple white setup that we did first, before switching the blankets to another color choice. I can’t wait to share the rest 🙂
